Timothy S. Lane, M.Div., D. Min. Tim is executive director and faculty member at CCEF and has been counseling for almost 20 years. He has Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary where he is also an associate professor of practical theology. Tim has experience in both campus and pastoral ministry, including serving as a pastor for ten years. He is the co-author of CCEF's Transformation Series Curriculum, How People Change, and Relationships - A Mess Worth Making. Tim and his wife, Barbara, have two daughters and two sons. When time allows, he enjoys listening to music - especially Bob Dylan! Areas of interest/experience: Marriage, relationships, the local church and leaders in ministry.

Edward T. Welch, M.Div., Ph.D. Ed is a counselor and faculty member at CCEF and holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a neuro-psychology specialty from the University of Utah as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Biblical Theological Seminary. Ed has been counseling for over twenty-six years and has written many books and articles on biblical counseling, including best selling titles: When People are Big and God is Small, Addictions: a Banquet in the Grave, Blame it on the Brain, Depression, and his newest book, Running Scared: Fear, Worry and the God of Rest. His written work and speaking ministry, which is characterized by sound biblical exposition and paired with dynamic practical application, is in great demand by today's modern church. Ed and his wife, Sheri, have two married daughters and one granddaughter. Ed is also a professor of practical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. In his spare time Ed enjoys hanging out with his wife, is the glad owner of a growing guitar collection and competes in the Master's swim event where he placed fourth in the country. Areas of interest/experience: Depression and addictions.

David Powlison, M.Div., Ph.D. David is a counselor and faculty member at CCEF and is the editor of the Journal of Biblical Counseling. He holds a Ph.D. in History and Science of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.

David has been counseling for over thirty years. He has written many books and articles on biblical counseling and the relationship between faith and psychology, including: Speaking Truth in Love; Seeing with New Eyes; Power Encounters; and Competent to Counsel?: the History of a Conservative Protestant Biblical Counseling Movement. David is an adjunct professor at Westminster Theological Seminary and has taught across the U.S.A. and internationally, including Korea, India, Brazil, Europe, United Kingdom and Sri Lanka. David and his wife, Nan, have a son, two daughters, and one granddaughter.

Michael R. Emlet, M.Div., M.D. practiced as a family physician for twelve years before retiring to become a counselor and faculty member at CCEF and lecturer in Practical Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. Mike holds an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary.

Dr. Emlet is the author of two booklets, Asperger Syndrome and OCD: Freedom for the Obsessive Compulsive. He is currently working on his first book. He and his wife, Jody, have a daughter and a son. Mike is active in his urban church and, when he has time, creates beautiful pieces on a potter's wheel! Areas of interest/experience: psychiatric issues (particularly OCD).

Winston T. Smith, M.Div, is the director of counseling at CCEF, a faculty member, a lecturer of practical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary and has been counseling for almost 15 years. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Westminster Theological Seminary, where he is also in the process of attaining a Doctor of Ministry degree. He is also concurrently pursuing a Master of Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family degree from Chestnut Hill College. Winston is the author of the mini-book entitled Rest, and is currently working on a book on marriage. Winston has been married to his wife, Kim, for sixteen years and has a son and two daughters. Winston enjoys reading, exercise and fitness, and martial arts. Areas of interest/experience: Marriage and family, depression and anxiety.

Julie Smith Lowe, is a Lecturer at CCEF and has been counseling for over ten years. She has a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Counseling from Toccoa Falls College. Julie is a Certified Christian Conciliator through Peacemakers Ministries and has spoken on conflict resolution for various groups. She also has experience counseling individuals and families in both church and school settings. Julie has extensive experience with foster and adoptive families. She has spoken at various events regarding women's issues, children and conflict resolution. Julie is married and a foster parent. She enjoys stained glass, jogging, teaching women, and entertaining. Areas of interest/ experience: Women's issues, adoption, child abuse and parenting & children's issues.

Monica Kim, is a lecturer and counselor at CCEF. Monica has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Toronto, Canada and a Master of Arts in Religion from Westminster Theological Seminary. Monica has worked in church ministry for thirteen years and is currently a part of the pastoral staff at her local church. As a part of the staff she speaks, teaches Bible studies, leads women's groups and counsels youth and families. She is married to Danny, an ordained Pastor, and they have three exciting boys. Monica enjoys spending time with her children and tasting new food with her husband. She is fluent in Korean.
