Without donations, we could not keep our doors open. Look at this revenue chart. Contributions are our largest source of revenue.
There is a persistent rumor that goes something like this: “Since CCEF has written so many books, charges for counseling, conferences, and classes – you must be overflowing with cash!” Not true! Whether you attended a class, received counseling, or bought resources from CCEF, please recognize that the class, counselor or publication may not have been available to you if donors were not providing so much of our income.

Through my travels over the last several months, a good number of people have asked me, “How is the 1500 Donors campaign going?” They are also curious to know how we are doing in general. There is some good news as well as some challenging news.
Here is the good news. Approximately 250 people have signed on since we kicked off our campaign to increase our monthly donors. Most of them are giving between $25 and $200 a month. They have proven to be critical to our financial survival this year. So we are half way to reaching our goal of 1500 regular donors.
Now, for the challenging news. As many of you are aware, the economy has seriously impacted giving to non-profit organizations. CCEF is not immune.
The greatest place where we have seen a short fall is with larger donations. This is exactly why we need more people helping with gifts on a regular basis.
We have made it possible for you to set up monthly, quarterly or annual giving on our website. You can do this with a credit card or a withdrawal from your checking account. It is secure and safe - even many of our own staff have signed up to become donors using this mechanism. Please join us today.
