David Powlison "Praying Together as a Couple"
What goes into making a good meal? Put high quality ingredients into the hands of a good cook, and you get a meal to remember. This workshop combines teaching (the ingredients) with application (the cooks at work). We will look at what goes into honest prayer, and we will put it into practice, both individually and as couples.

Jason Barrie "Counseling Couples Preparing for Marriage"
How do we prepare couples well to enter the institution of marriage?  What are the key ingredients to a successful pre-marital counseling sequence?   We know that God wants our marriages to reflect his grace and be marked by real peace but we struggle to know what to say.  In this intensely practical and highly interactive workshop, Pastor Jason Barrie will help you to encourage pre-marital couples to lay hold of Christ and his grace as the foundation of their marriage. These grace-based principles can powerfully transform not only our own marriages but all our relationships too.

2pm-5:30pm - choose one of two

Aaron Sironi & Gary Friesen "Intervening in Marital Conflict"
Pursuing genuine restoration in a conflicted marriage is always complex and thorny. We do not easily see our own self-seeking agendas. And relating in gracious and truthful ways is often elusive. But it is our privilege to walk with couples who strive to honor the Lord in and through their most intimate conflicts.

Dave Harvey  "When Sinners Say I Do"
Marriage is the union of two people who arrive at the altar toting some surprisingly large luggage. Often it gets opened right there on the honeymoon, sometimes it waits for the week after. The Bible calls it sin and understanding its influence can make all the difference for a man and woman who are building a life together. Until we understand the problem, we will not be able to delight in the solution. Grace is truly amazing because of what we were saved from. When sin becomes bitter, marriage becomes sweet. When the sin we bring to marriage becomes real to us, then the gospel becomes vital and marriage becomes sweet.
