PTSD and Veterans

Presented byAlasdair Groves

Purchase Session Audio

Military service exposes people to stresses, tensions and horrors that can leave them feeling like strangers adrift in the world they left to protect and serve. What are the unique struggles of veterans, and what does Christ-centered care look like? How does Scripture address people who have experienced and sometimes committed acts of violence, horror and trauma? This breakout session takes a biblical look at the challenges of violent human catastrophe and the ensuing suffering, guilt and disorientation of those who have been in combat zones.

This lecture is from the 2011 National Conference, “Psychiatric Disorders.” Also available as a DVD curriculum designed to be used individually or in a group setting.
