Abusive Marriages: Providing Counseling and Care

One quarter of all women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Tragically, domestic violence is just as pervasive in the church. Because abusive behaviors are fueled by distorted and dangerous beliefs, we must have a distinctive approach and explicit priorities when we encounter abuse in marriage. In this breakout session we will explore a biblical counseling model for these overwhelming and ensnaring dynamics. We will also pay attention to how the local church can minister wisely and effectively when they encounter abuse.
