CCEF’s communications team is a part of the broader Advancement department, which is responsible for communicating who CCEF is and what we do to the world. The communications team particularly aims to expand the ministry’s reach and cultivate engagement with our audience. The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing CCEF’s communications strategy, working closely with the Director of Advancement, supervising and coordinating the work of the communications team, overseeing CCEF branding and quality in all outward-facing communications, and galvanizing the CCEF staff team around our external communications.

responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and communications plan. Work effectively with team members and other departments to bring plans to fruition.
  • Understand the Director of Advancement’s vision for the Advancement department and lead the communications team to contribute meaningfully to the work of the department.
  • Supervise communications staff and manage relationships with contractors (web developers, SEO agency, graphic designer). Invest in and contribute to a healthy and thriving culture within the Advancement team.
  • Manage the workflow of communications projects including assigning tasks, tracking project status, and troubleshooting. Oversee execution of all print collateral, weekly eNews, website updates and improvements, social media, marketing videos, advertising, and more.
  • Work with the communications team to identify and implement ways for CCEF to reach new audiences—through advertising, new content opportunities, targeted marketing, exhibiting, and more. Understand our current audience and potential audiences we might reach.
  • Work with the communications team to cultivate engagement by connecting CCEF audiences to other aspects of CCEF’s ministry—telling journal subscribers about courses, podcast listeners about books, etc.
  • Track and analyze metrics in order to measure the effectiveness of current marketing strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage the quality of all communications work at CCEF and ensure adherence to branding guidelines. Understand CCEF’s distinctive voice in order to communicate effectively and vet communications.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Advancement on yearly assessments, budgets, and other planning needs in order to continue to develop and improve communication efforts.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other departments in order to contribute to a healthy cross-departmental working environment, support the work of other departments, and involve them in the work of the communications team.
  • Travel: 2–4 trips per year (national conference & exhibiting events)

qualifications

The Faculty Executive Assistant provides high-level support to the Dean of Faculty and Faculty using a variety of project management, communication, and organizational skills.

responsibilities

  • Managing the Dean of Faculty’s schedule, mail and email correspondence, task list, and files
  • Working closely with the Dean of Faculty to compile, organize, and track faculty members’ annual internal and external responsibilities and commitments
  • Managing logistics and agendas for all faculty meetings and taking notes, as well as scheduling and supporting additional faculty-related meetings as needed
  • Acting as a liaison for CCEF departmental scheduling and project requests involving faculty
  • Providing travel scheduling, reservations, logistics, and problem-solving
  • Implementing administrative processes to improve departmental clarity and effectiveness
  • Managing external requests for CCEF faculty
  • Administrating faculty requests for books and supplies
  • Providing tailored administrative support to individual faculty members as needed. This includes but is not limited to: meeting with faculty members to review task lists and vet internal and external requests, scheduling, reimbursements, mail/email correspondence, and filing
  • Coordinating faculty-related special events (e.g., faculty retreats, networking opportunities)
  • Creating research briefs on assigned topics for internal use

Operations supports CCEF’s mission by providing internal support to staff, answering customer service inquiries, and overseeing the counseling ministry. This position will provide administrative support to human resources, customer service, and facilities.

responsibilities

  • Administrate payroll and ensure compliance with benefit plans and tax reporting authorities.
  • Administrate, in collaboration with the Director of Operations, the annual editing of the Employee Handbook and other board-required HR documents for staff.
  • Administer any Worker’s Compensation claims, and complete annual WC renewal and any audits.
  • Support the Director of Operations in maintaining job descriptions for all employees.
  • Support the Director of Operations with the onboarding and off-boarding of all employees.
  • Administrate the process for annual reviews for all employees.
  • Provide a hospitable experience to guests by welcoming them, answering phones, and responding to emails.
  • Assist counselors and counselees with appointments, ensuring that appointments are confirmed for the next week.
  • Ensure that customer service emails are responded to in a timely manner; develop instruction guides for customers as needed.
  • Serve as liaison with other departments to better understand various customer requests that come in through Customer Service, help resolve open matters, be proactive on new initiatives and support ongoing initiatives, and ensure staff have what they need to answer customer inquiries.
  • Help the Director of Operations with all-staff communication and oversee its production (e.g., monthly internal staff newsletter).
  • Help with assimilation and tracking of annual budget.
  • Support the Director of Operations with special departmental projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the department.

Behind-the-scenes support of the staff of CCEF through maintaining the buildings and grounds and assisting the Operations Manager. This is a project-based position and will follow the labor laws for a 1099 Independent Contractor.

  • Facilities projects (ex. basic wall repair and painting)
  • Office furniture building, installation, and rearranging
  • Seasonal tending to the grounds (ex. leaf collection and removal, watering flowers, use of lawn maintenance equipment)
